Settings

Configure EP-PatchStudio preferences and application behaviour

Overview

Settings is split into four tabs: Preferences, Licence, Help & Support and About. Most of what you'll touch day to day lives under Preferences.

Preferences

Appearance

  • App theme: choose from several visual themes, each with its own colour palette and typography. Your choice is saved between sessions.
  • Colourblind mode: adjusts the status colours (success, warning, error) for different types of colour vision deficiency.
  • Font scale: make the interface text larger or smaller to suit your screen.

Audio

  • Output device: the audio device used for sample preview and playback.

Keyboard

  • Keyboard layout: set the layout for the on-screen keyboard.
  • Note naming: choose how MIDI notes are labelled.

App behaviour

  • Recycle Bin retention: how many days deleted samples are kept in the Recycle Bin before they're cleared.
  • Automatic updates: check for updates on startup, or check manually whenever you like.
  • Telemetry: turn anonymous usage analytics on or off. It's your call, and it's off-limits to anything personal.

Licence

The Licence tab is where you activate and manage your Pro licence. The free tier and the Pro trial don't need anything here; once you buy Pro, enter your licence key on this tab to unlock it.
