This Refund Policy applies to purchases of EP-PatchStudio software from Photon Consulting Limited, trading as SquareWave Studio. By purchasing our software, you agree to the terms outlined below.

We stand behind EP-PatchStudio with a risk-free 14-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied, you can request a full refund.

1. Refund Eligibility

We offer a full refund of your purchase price if you meet the following conditions:

  • Your refund request is made within 14 days of your original purchase date
  • You have not exceeded 30 days of software access or usage
  • The request is your first refund claim for this product
  • You have not resold, shared, or distributed the software licence

2. Non-Refundable Purchases

The following situations are not eligible for refunds:

  • Refund request made more than 14 days after purchase
  • Purchases refunded previously (no duplicate refunds)
  • Usage beyond 30 days or substantial feature testing
  • Licenses purchased as part of a bulk/volume discount
  • Chargebacks or dispute claims filed (account suspension applies)
  • Licence keys already used for product activation

3. How to Request a Refund

  1. Contact Support: Email us at joe@squarewave.studio with your order details and reason for refund
  2. Provide Information: Include your order number, email address and purchase date
  3. Verification: We will verify your eligibility based on the refund policy criteria
  4. Processing: Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days

4. Refund Processing Timeline

  • Processing: 5-10 business days after approval
  • Bank Processing: 3-5 additional business days depending on your financial institution
  • Total Time: Up to 15 business days to see the refund in your account

Refunds are processed to the original payment method. Processing times vary depending on your bank.

5. Licence Deactivation After Refund

Upon refund approval, your licence key will be deactivated to prevent further use. You will no longer have access to EP-PatchStudio after refund processing.

6. Partial Refunds

Partial refunds are not available. All refunds are full refunds of the purchase price (excluding any processing or conversion fees charged by payment processors, which may not be refunded at their discretion).

7. Bulk & Volume Licenses

Special pricing for bulk or volume licenses may have different terms. Please contact our sales team for specific refund policies on volume purchases: joe@squarewave.studio

8. Chargebacks & Dispute Policies

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute instead of requesting a refund through our process:

  • Will result in permanent account suspension
  • Will prevent future purchases
  • Voids any warranty or support entitlements
  • May result in legal action to recover associated fees

Please use our standard refund process instead. We are happy to work with you to resolve any issues.

9. Upgrade & Downgrade

Currently, EP-PatchStudio is offered as a single edition. If we introduce new tiers or versions in the future, upgrade/downgrade policies will be clearly communicated at the time of purchase.

10. Software Defects & Technical Issues

If you experience technical issues or defects with EP-PatchStudio:

  • Contact our support team immediately: joe@squarewave.studio
  • We will attempt to resolve the issue within 5 business days
  • If the issue cannot be resolved, you remain eligible for a refund within the 14-day window

11. Licence Transfer & Refunds

If you have transferred your licence to another user or account, you are not eligible for a refund. Licence transfers are permanent and cannot be reversed for refund purposes.

12. EU Consumer Rights

This refund policy is in addition to your rights as a consumer under EU law. Where EU consumer protection laws provide greater protection than this policy, those laws will apply. You have the right to file a complaint with your national consumer protection authority.

13. Exceptions & Special Circumstances

While we maintain strict refund criteria, we recognise that special circumstances may arise. If you believe your situation warrants an exception, please contact us at joe@squarewave.studio with a detailed explanation. We will review requests on a case-by-case basis.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy periodically. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The 14-day money-back guarantee will always apply to new purchases under the current policy.
