Project Library

PRO

Store unlimited projects locally — your EP-40 only has 9 slots, your library has no limit

Overview

The EP-40 has 9 project slots. That's it. If you want to try something new, you have to overwrite an existing project. The Project Library solves this by storing unlimited projects on your computer, so you can freely rotate projects on and off the device without losing anything.

Projects are stored in the app's local database, complete with all sample data. You can search, tag, filter and organise them however you like.

Saving Projects to the Library

There are two ways to get projects into the library:

From the Project Viewer

  1. Open any project in the Project Viewer
  2. Click "Save to Library"
  3. Add tags and notes (optional)
  4. The project and all its samples are saved locally

Pull from device

  1. Open the Project Library
  2. Click "Pull from Device"
  3. Select which project slot(s) to pull
  4. Projects are downloaded and stored in the library

Browsing & Searching

The library shows all your saved projects as cards. Each card displays the project name, BPM, tags and when it was last modified.

Search

Type in the search bar to filter projects by name. Results update as you type.

Filtering

  • By BPM: Filter to show only projects at a specific tempo
  • By tag: Click a tag to show only projects with that tag

Sorting

  • Name (alphabetical)
  • BPM
  • Last modified
  • File size

Large collections are paginated automatically, so the library stays fast even with hundreds of projects.

Tagging & Organisation

Tags let you categorise projects however makes sense for your workflow. Add tags like "live set", "work in progress", "hip-hop", "collab" — whatever you need.

  • Add tags when saving a project or edit them later
  • Click any tag in the library to filter by it
  • A project can have multiple tags

Managing Projects

Push to device

Send a library project back to your EP-40. Choose which project slot to load it into. The project's samples are uploaded to the device automatically.

Duplicate

Create a copy of any project in the library. Useful for making variations or using a project as a starting template.

Edit metadata

Update a project's name, tags and notes at any time.

Delete

Remove a project from the library. This only deletes the local copy — it doesn't affect anything on your device.

Library vs Device

The library and the device are separate. Deleting a project from the library doesn't remove it from your EP-40, and clearing a slot on the device doesn't affect your library copy.

Import & Export

Projects can be exported as ZIP archives for sharing or archiving. Import ZIP archives to add projects from other users or restore previously exported projects.

  • Export: Select a project and choose "Export" to save as a ZIP file
  • Import: Click "Import" and select a ZIP archive to add it to your library

Tips

  • Save before you overwrite: Pull your device projects into the library before loading new ones into those slots
  • Use tags consistently: A simple tagging system (genre, status, date) makes finding projects much easier later
  • Duplicate for variations: Instead of modifying a project directly, duplicate it first so you always have the original
  • Export for backup: ZIP exports are a good way to back up projects outside the app, especially to cloud storage

Troubleshooting

Push to device fails

  • Ensure the device is connected and detected
  • Check the device has enough free storage for the project's samples
  • Wait for any active transfers to complete first

Library seems slow

  • Use search or tag filters to narrow the list
  • The library paginates large collections automatically

Project missing after update

  • Library data is stored in the app's local database and persists across updates
  • If data was lost, check if you have ZIP exports you can re-import
  • Contact support with diagnostic logs if the issue persists

9 slots on the device. Unlimited in the library.

Stop overwriting projects. Store, tag and organise them all. Project Library is included with Pro.
