Ableton Live Export, Sample Optimisation and Library Insights
Export projects as Ableton Live 12 sets, optimise samples to free up device storage, bundle Sample Packs, and explore your whole library with the new Insights tab.
Take your projects into Ableton
You can now export any project as an Ableton Live 12 set (.als). Tracks come across with their names,
colours, MIDI clips, samples, trim points and group mixer levels and pan, so you pick up in Live
exactly where you left off on the device. Live 12 only for now.
Free up space with sample optimisation
The File Manager can now optimise samples to reclaim device storage. Convert stereo samples to mono and downsample to a target sample rate, and you'll fit a lot more onto a device that's filling up.
Sample Packs
A new Sample Packs tab lets you bundle samples into named packs, import whole folders (it handles 8, 24 and 32-bit, float and surround WAVs) and save selected slots, or a project's sounds, as a new pack to reuse later.
Library Insights
The new Insights tab turns your whole project library into stats: an activity heatmap, a tempo histogram, sound usage, project structure and a producer personality card, plus an annual Wrapped recap with shareable cards. All of it stays on your device. Pro feature.
Stem export got a fidelity pass this release too: correct loudness, cleaner release tails at scene boundaries and reduced aliasing.
